Weekly Blog: September 2-8

I spent Labor Day visiting my grandma. Sometimes that's just needed after a busy weekend.

I tried the Baja Blast gelato. I loved it. I am a huge fan of Baja Blast and this was delicious. I wish I could get it all the time.

On Wednesday, I hit up Drag Bingo at The Rigby. I went alone but still had a blast! It was very entertaining.

Psst-Secret-I won the first round but panicked and didn't shout Bingo. hehehe

On Saturday, we went to Zippy Lube for fried chicken and donuts. We used to live on the North Side but they were open for a short time while we were there. I made it once before we moved.

Mike and I wandered through the TJ Maxx/Home Goods in the area. A weekly must during the Fall season.

Trips to the east side also mean a visit to Liv's Drink Emporium for their Peanut Butter Cold Brew. Personally, I add in a splash of cream.

Very late at night, too late for elders like myself, I went to Chilimania to see Back in Black, an AC/DC cover band.

Before they took the stage, a pop punk cover band called LouderNow played and they were really great! I had a good time and hope to see them again in the future.

Back in Black blew me out of the water. They were AMAZING. I am a big fan of AC/DC and I was star struck when the lead singer, dressed as Brian Johnson, ran backstage and came out looking like Bon Scott! They played many Bon Scott era hits and I had an absolute blast.

Bright and early Sunday morning I went to a flea market with my friend Chloe in Monroe. I had a few small finds but enjoyed looking at everything.

Happy Trails!
